Royalties Inc Ltd (“Royalties Inc”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through royaltiesinc.co.uk, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

What data we collect

• Enquiry details you give us: your name, email address and the content of any message you send through our contact form or by email.
• Correspondence: any further emails or messages exchanged with us about your enquiry.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, recorded by our hosting provider in standard server logs for security and reliability.

We do not ask for special category data, and we ask that you do not send us sensitive personal information through the contact form.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and to correspond with you about a possible partnership, investment or commercial relationship — our legitimate interests in dealing with enquiries addressed to us, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To keep a record of enquiries received and to manage our business relationships — our legitimate interests in running and administering our business.
• To keep our website secure and available and to prevent misuse — our legitimate interests in protecting our systems.
• To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you have separately asked us to, and we do not sell personal data.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only strictly necessary technical storage required to serve the site is used. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested before any non-essential cookie is set.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract: our website hosting and database provider, and our email provider. They may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship: kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
• Enquiries that lead to a commercial or investment relationship: kept for the duration of that relationship and for 6 years afterwards, to meet contractual, tax and accounting requirements.
• Server logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.

Security

Enquiry data is stored in an access-controlled database. Access is limited to people who need it to respond to enquiries, and data is encrypted in transit.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate personal data corrected.
• Ask us to erase your personal data where there is no continuing reason for us to hold it.
• Ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests.
• Request that we transfer your data to you or another provider, where applicable.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
